Jordy Lievers
Jordy was born in Encinitas, California, where she grew up obsessed with musical theater. She moved to New York at age 18 to attend Columbia University, where she was (briefly) a cheerleader and (not so briefly) heavily involved in Columbia Musical Theater Society and The Varsity Show.
Following college graduation and a long summer performing in Skagway, Alaska, Jordy joined the MFA program at the American Repertory Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. While at the A.R.T., she studied at the Moscow Art Theater School in Moscow, Russia, and worked on several A.R.T. mainstage shows, including Cabaret starring Amanda Palmer, and the original workshop of Once.
Jordy currently lives with her husband Jared on the Upper West Side. She runs a lettering and design business called SquiddyShop, and is an avid painter and illustrator, with pieces in private collections across the US and UK. She runs marathons, travels more than is appropriate or fiscally responsible, and drinks & blogs about craft beer around the world at www.travelontap.blogspot.com.
